There are indeed many manifestations of reflux. Not only the typical symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation, but also common atypical symptoms like chest pain and dysphagia, and even extra esophageal manifestations such as cough, laryngitis, and asthma. Interestingly, and of clinical importance, atypical extra esophageal reflux tends to be associated with nonerosive disease.
